Spirituality and science are exploring Kundalini. It has become a subject of fascination, but without truth, it remains a matter of fantasy and superstition. Today, countless Kundalini meditation camps, yoga centers, and healing centers are operating, but how much of the truth presented about Kundalini is true?

Because entering Kundalini awakening directly without practice can be disastrous. Foolishly attempting to awaken Kundalini without understanding the Guru tradition or the Siddha Kaula Marg leads to the downfall of the practitioner. Kundalini is a deep and meditative subject. It cannot be achieved through a one-day course or a few months of pranayama practice. Pranayama only charges the dormant cells of the brain and the Brahmarandhra body. It does not carry Kundalini even 1 percent. This misconception is widespread. Countless people have made a business out of it. Without achieving Siddhi, it is impossible to control Kundalini in sadhana.

Now, what is this Kundalini? We need to understand that, and how many dimensions does it have? It travels through 16 dimensions and 7 paths to reach its Shiva. Kundalini is like a software program, lacking its own power; it runs its program under the control of a programmer. The programmer, according to his thoughts and resolve, divides the same Kundalini into many dimensions, which is called the accomplishment of Sahasrara.

But the programmer doesn't have this power of his own. Rather, he uses the powerhouse of the conscious soul to run his program. The soul is bound in an unconscious state. Right now, the soul itself is free, but the program of karmic bondage or the cycle of karma is installed in the medium between the soul and the body, which is called the mind.

The fewer programs there are in the computer, the faster the computer will be, but this chip of karma of the program, which is called Kundalini, is left in a dormant state. Due to this, the soul
is made a living soul instead of becoming the Supreme Soul. The karma of the past and future births is already installed by the programmer. Sometimes a person talks about sixth sense as if it is nonsense because he does not know that the one inspiring him is his own programmed mind. He acts according to his program
and accepts the cycle of sins and virtues as truth. This is the illusion and its sensor is the mind.
The mind has three states -
it is called external, subtle and inner mind. The external mind is inert and tamasic. The subtle mind is hedonistic and rajasic. The inner mind is sattvic and ascetic. All three of these move in the web of illusion. They fulfill the resolutions of a programmer. The one with sattva, after increasing his sattva, gets trapped in rajas again in the next birth because he renounced material pleasures in sattva but did not live the program of the external and subtle mind. This is how the creator turns the wheel of karma.

Those with other elements will choose the opposite. Kundalini's function is to create pleasure seekers.
Whether the enjoyment is Satva, Raja or Tamas, now the question will come to understand the further thinking of the programmer.
His only principle is that
God is beyond the three gunas and beyond time.
Time moves according to Him, not He according to time.

Apara Siddhi is explained to the true disciple by the Guru only under the practice of Shabda Brahma.
Guru is the only path who knows the language unlike a programmer. For this reason, practice without the guidance of a Siddha Guru becomes an obstacle in attaining liberation. Once I had a conversation with Gurudev on this subject. He had said that those who run after Kundalini are fools. One should not get under the control of Kundalini, one has to control Kundalini. Consciousness is not cultivated, one becomes conscious. Till this state is not reached, the creature finds his soul trapped in the trap of Kundalini. Many Siddhis have been described in Kundalini awakening but those Siddhis can mislead the seeker from salvation.

Two types of Siddhi are at work in this -
one is Para Siddhi and the other is Apara Siddhi. Under Para Siddhi, Siddhi related to the elements like God, Yaksha, Kinnar, Gandharva, Ghost-Spirit, Dakini-Shakini-Lakini-Hakini-Kakini - is obtained. In this, these Siddhis are awakened according to the main elements of the living being.
Siddhi is achieved according to the elements in which the Sadhak does his Sadhana. According to 'Parashakti Pinde Sau Brahmande', consider the universe as one body. Living beings, Gods, humans all come under it. It investigates the three elements through the basic Panchbhutas.

These three elements are Sattva, Raja, and Tama.
Depending on which element a being belongs to, the type of Siddhi awakens accordingly.
Such Para Siddhi allows one to awaken the limited knowledge of a time cycle. This awakening has ensnared so many accomplished souls.
Who is speaking and what language is coming? The Siddhi corresponding to that is revealed.
This awakening leads to the attainment of Madhyama, Vaikhari, Para, and Pashyanti, but fails to achieve the essence or state of enlightenment. The Lalita Sahasranama describes the names of the Goddess and Kundalini. It contains a mantra that emphasizes understanding the words of the deities, or the deities, in Pashyanti, called Shruti. This knowledge of the Akashic Records is gained, but the sky and space are the reality of the universe, or the body. A practitioner believes they have attained liberation here, but this is a deception.
Upon attaining the highest Siddhi of Satvik tendencies, a person understands liberation, not attains it. Here, after attaining some siddhis, he gives himself a position. But beyond this, i.e. under the Hiranyagarbha Sankalp, it has been created to deceive
the seeker so that he gets the illusion of liberation. Many siddhas have been trapped in it. We have seen the picture of a snake behind many gods. Its indication is that they attained salvation through Kundalini, the real liberation is far from this. Krishna subdued Kaliya Nag by climbing on him. We got trapped in the play of God or deity but did not think what is enlightenment?

Our soul, which is divine and transcends the Kundalini of time, is free. Our spiritual practice here is not to awaken the Kundalini, but to liberate it and liberate it. Now, consider Apara Siddhi. It is not physical or sensual, but metaphysical and spiritual. Para Siddhi liberates the soul only until the time of Pralaya, while Apara Siddhi is for eternal liberation. During Pralaya and Mahapralaya, the soul with Para Siddhi returns to its true form as a living entity and element. However, Apara Siddhi is never destroyed. Whenever it is reborn, it remains detached and free from the cycle of time. Its purpose is to pierce the web of illusion and reveal the knowledge of liberation. Apara is so significant that Para is insignificant in comparison.

This Aparashakti is the power of the Supreme Brahman. The knowledge of Guru Tatva contains the essence of the elements. Kaula Marg, both Para and Apara are the paths of Siddhi. Its founder is Nadi Guru, who himself is the manifest form of sound. The sound works according to him. We have heard about so many Brahma Purushas. They say that there are many universes, many Brahmas and only Brahma is free from time. Because through Aparasiddhi, leaving the Kundalini, the soul comes in its original Shabd form. Like a company's Wi-Fi network, wherever you go you will find us, this is the divine power. It is present in every particle.

The soul's fundamental power is Shabda Brahma, not Kundalini.
Kundalini is the noose of time. Time, with its poison, repeatedly wreaks havoc in the Gokul of the senses. It is through the research of sound that the lower nature emerges.
Even Indra becomes a slave. The gods come to your service. Brahma descends to understand you. This is a supreme, divine state. It can only be attained through service and devotion to the Guru.

Kundalini awakening

The Ardhanarishvara portion of the Supreme Father is called Shakti. It is the supreme power ( potent cosmic energy) of God, which we worship as Radha , Sita , Durga, or Kali . It is also known as Kundalini in Indian Yoga philosophy. This divine power resides dormant in the human body in the Muladhara (lower part of the spine) . It lies coiled around the last part of the spine, like a sleeping snake. Therefore, it is called Kundalini. When Kundalini awakens, it rises upward to meet its master in the Sahasrara. The awakened Kundalini is fully controlled by a capable Sadguru ; only He can discipline and regulate its speed . Through the Shaktipat initiation of the Guru, the Kundalini Shakti awakens and penetrates the six chakras, reaching the Sahasrara. Yoga performed through Kundalini completely heals all human organs. Yogic practices are performed only on the body part that is sick or weak during meditation. The Kundalini Shakti performs yoga on that sick body part , restoring it to full health. This completely frees the human body from disease, and the practitioner becomes energized and ready for the spiritual journey ahead. The external symptoms of Siddha Yoga meditation that heal the body include yogic movements such as swaying to the left and right, shaking , bending , lying down , crying , laughing , rapid head rotation , clapping , uncontrolled movements of the hands and body , visions of bright lights or colors, or other asanas , bandhas , mudras, or pranayama positions. The human body is the physical home of the soul. After extensive research, our sages accepted the principle that everything in the universe is present in the body . Thus, the world from the Mooladhar Chakra to the Ajna Chakra belongs to Maya and the world from the Ajna Chakra to the Sahasrara belongs to the Supreme Brahman. It is written in the Vedic texts that the human body is merely the physical home of the soul. The soul is covered by seven types of sheaths: 1- Annamaya Kosha (matter , in the form of the physical body which is sustained by food ) , 2- Pranamaya Kosha (life force) , 3- Manomaya Kosha (mind which is clearly different from the intellect) , 4- Vijnanamaya Kosha (intellect) , 5- Anandmaya Kosha (

Ananda or eternal bliss (not related to the body or mind) , 6- Chitmaya Kosha (spiritual intelligence), and 7- Sattmaya Kosha (the final state of union with the infinite). For a person to fully evolve spiritually, the full development of all seven sheaths is essential. The first four sheaths have become conscious in humanity, and the remaining three spiritual sheaths remain to be realized in humanity. With the full development of these seven sheaths in mind, Maharishi Sri Aurobindo prophesied that " the future human race will assume a divine body . " Sri Aurobindo, along with his French associate disciple , known as the Mother , realized during his meditative states that final evolution could only occur when the cosmic consciousness (which he called the superconscious power of Krishna) descended to Earth. The seeker's Kundalini becomes conscious and merges into the Sahasrara , this is called Moksha.

Method of Sadhana -
Every morning in Brahma Muhurta, after retiring from bathing etc. , chant Guru Mantra , Chetna Mantra , Gayatri Mantra while facing towards the east. The rosary should be of crystal/Rudraksh , the clothes should be of yellow/red colour . After doing all this, concentrate on each chakra of Kundalini for 9-10 minutes and in this way, extend the time of meditation every day . After the meditation , start chanting one rosary of Tantrokta Kundalini Jagran Mantra daily . Right now the summer days are going on, hence do only one rosary . When the summer days start to end, then you can chant this mantra for maximum number of rosaries. In this Sadhana, it is necessary for you to take permission of Sadgurudevji mentally every day, this is my request to you.

Tantric Kundalini Awakening Mantra-

॥ Oṁ aim hrāṁ hrīm hum hrāi hrāun hā: Kula-kundalīnī, the mother of the universe, is the embodiment of all perfection.

Om aim hraam hreem hum hraim hroum h: kul-kundalini jaganmaat: siddhi dehi dehi swaaha

After completion of chanting the mantra, dedicate the sadhana to the Gurucharana ; in this sadhana , experiences start coming from the very first day.

The human body is the most excellent boon conferred by the Almighty and the person who comprehends his own body completely, realises the subtle mysteries of the entire universe. All universal faculties are concentrated as the force of life inside a human body which the scriptures term as the vital power (Pran Shakti). The condensed form of the same vital forces is known as 'Kundalini Shakti' which is the rock bottom of all the energies and power of action inherent in a human being. As this divine power remains dormant just like the coil of a snake, it has been designated as 'Kundalini Shakti' or the 'serpent Power'. For the purpose of Self-Realisation, a man through his 'Sushumna' (spine) tries to uplift this Kundalini Shakti in an upward tract and crossing all the Chakras (subtle spinal centres) tries to unite it with 'Sahastrar'.

When the aspirant emerges successful in his endeavour, he gets divine vision and visualising his real form though his divine eye, he feels overwhelmed with ecstasy and thus liberates himself from the corporeal bondages of life and death.

What is the Kundalini? Why is it so significant in life?
At the base of the spinal cord every human being has a powerful, yet dormant source of energy. This source is known as the Muladhar Chakra from which three subtle channels known as Naadis rise up through the spine and reach thew brain. The middle Naadi is known as Sushumna while on its either sides are the Ida and Pingla. At five other centres of highly concentrated energy, called Chakras, along the spinal column, these three Naadis come together and then again divide into three channels as they rise further.
Thus including the Muladhar there are various Chakras in which very powerful energy lies dormant and once they are activated a human gains amazing divine powers like Telepathy, Hypnotism, Clairvoyance. In fact complete success in life in any and every sphere can come only through the activation of all the Chakras and it is with this aim that true Yogis remain engaged in Sadhanas.
But this process can be very intricate and difficult unless one is helped by an enlightened Master who has his own Kundalini fully activated, who is aware of all the processes of activation and who can activate the Kundalini of others.

Benefits of Kundalini Activation:

Inside the vertebral column, there are seven lotuses located on the Brahma Nadi. These are known as Chakra (spinal centres). Each lotus possesses different number of petals and also a distinct colour.

Amazing powers devolve on a human on activation of the Kundalini and each Chakra is related to the following attainments.

1. Muladhara Chakra

This Chakra is situated in the basal region of the vertebral column at the mid spot between anus and penis. In meditation, this Chakra is visualised as a red lotus possessing four petals. This is the resting place of the Kundalini Shakti, which lies here as a snake having three and half coil. This Chakra is the symbol of Earth element.
Activation of this results in riddance from tensions, true happiness, beauty, perfect health and physical strength, magnetic persona.

2. Swadhishthana Chakra

This Chakra is located in the vertebral column just opposite to the penial region. In meditation, this Chakra is visualised as a vermilion coloured lotus having six petals. This semilunar Chakra is the symbol of Water element.
Activation of this results in freedom from stomach ailments, increase in sex power, and cure of sexual debility, increase in courage and fearlessness and magnetism.

3. Manipur Chakra

Inside the vertebral column, this Chakra is situated just opposite to the naval region. This ten petalled lotus is of blue colour. The Yantra of this Chakra is triangular in shape and it represents the fire element.
Activation of this results in perfect digestion, riddance from ailments like kidney stones, diabetes, liver problems etc. Success in amazing Sadhanas like flying in the air, walking on water, telepathic contact with animals and plants, perfection in Prannayam and the highest achievement is success in Meditation.

4. Anahat Chakra

The relative position of this Chakra inside the vertebral column is just opposite to the cardiac region (heart). This red coloured lotus possesses twelve petals and it represents the Air element. Activation of this Chakra illuminates the entire body and the entire vertebral column starts vibrating.
Activation of this results in peace of mind, boundless divine joy, total freedom from tensions, power to look into future, power of hypnosis, entering into Samadhi (divine trance), riddance from problems related to heart, increase in soft emotions like love, affection and kindness.

5. Vishuddha Chakra

Inside the vertebral column this Chakra is located opposite the throat region. This lotus of smoky colour possesses sixteen petals and it represents the sky element.
Activation of this results in riddance from all ailments related to throat, thyroid etc., increase in knowledge, gain of power of eloquence, deeper Samadhi, perfection in the art of Hypnotism, gain of power to die when one wills, total material success like comforts, wealth, fame etc.

6. Agni Chakra

In Brahma Nadi (enclosed by vertebral column) this Chakra is located just opposite the mid spot between the two eyebrows. This white lotus has only two petals.
Also called the Third Eye its activation brings wondrous powers like clairvoyance, telepathy, power of giving curses or blessings, instant fulfillment of anything one wishes, and gain of knowledge related to all subjects and sciences, power to control thoughts of others and interfere even in nature.

7. Sahasrara Chakra

Beyond these six Chakras at the upper termination of the spinal cord, is the thousand petalled lotus; the abode of Lord Shiva (supreme being). When the Kundalini Shakti unites itself with the supreme being, the aspirant gets engrossed in deep meditation during which he perceives infinite bliss.
This is a subtle centre in the brain. On activation of Sahastraar a very fine, elixir-like secretion is produced from it which permeates the whole body thus making the human forever free of all ailments.
Sahastrar Chakra is also termed as Dasham Dwar of Brahmarandhara. In my view, this Chakra is situated two inches deep inside both the temporal region and three inches deep from the midspot between the eyebrows that is in the middle portion of cerebral hemispheres. From the throat, it is located three inches above the palate and inside the brain it is located in a small hole above the 'Maha Vivar' foramen of cerebrum.
Awakening of Sahastrar renders the aspirant liberated from corporeal bondages and attachments. He is endowed with all kinds of divine attainments including 'Ashta Siddhi' and 'Nava Nidhi'. He becomes an omniscient Yogi. Being emancipated from the cycles of birth and death, he certainly achieves the final beatitude.
One is fully enlightened and can then envision any event going on anywhere in the universe with out entering into Samadhi. All natural elements come under one’s control.
The practice of awakening Kundalini Shakti must be done only under the guidance of a competent Guru. Sometimes when the aspirant practices such exercises only after going through some books, he endangers his own life and there are chances of his becoming insane.
Really, fortunate is the person who attains his divine Guru. That person is fortunate who strives for awakening of the Kundalini Shakti and only that person is called God-illumined who after activating his Kundalini Shakti, gets the totality of life.

Different ways of activation:

There are several means to this goal - through Mantra, through Diksha ( or transfer of Divine energy from Guru to disciple), Kriya Yog, Prannayam, Ras Vigyan (use of consecrated and Samskarised mercury) and even Ayurvedic herbs and potions.

Yet the best way is of Mantra Sadhana for it is the most safe and can be tried by anyone. When Kundalini is activated there is a tremendous gush of energy which can cause great harm if not properly channelised through the body. But the Mantra Sadhana process is a slow and steady method totally free of such risk. Moreover this is done under the guidance of an accomplished Guru who can fully control the Kundalini. In this Mantra process the six Chakras are activated one at a time and there are seven stages of this Sadhana.

Whatever the mode of activation a Guru is a must for during the process as the divine powers in the body come to life they attack the Sadhak’s weaknesses like greed, jealousy, infatuation, anger, false ego and other negative traits. Sometimes the struggle between these positive (Kundalini) and negative energies can be so intense that a person may lose balance of mind or his evil traits may appear so magnified to him that he may take to wrong ways in life.
But if there is a Guru guiding each step of the process the negative energies can never come out on the top in this struggle. That is why the Guru also suggests Guru Mantra Sadhana for the power of Guru is so strong that it can annihilate all evil traits of the Sadhak.
It is also important to note that there are different Mantras for the activation of six Chakras. One may accomplish Sadhana pertaining to a Chakra and still not experience anything. Remember it is not a miracle we are working. It is a slow and steady process and sometimes it is after some months that suddenly one becomes aware of the activation of the concerned Chakra.
In truth after Sadhana the activation takes place when the Sadhak feels most purified and free of his negative traits. One should hence continue with Sadhana of other Chakras even if no immediate results seem forthcoming.
Sometimes two or three Chakras have been seen to be activated all of a sudden at one go.

How can Kundalini be activated ?

The first step is taking Guru Diksha and later praying to the Guru for Kundalini Jagran Diksha ( Diksha for activation of the Kundalini). After this the Guru suggests certain Mantra Sadhanas through which the Kundalini can be fully activated.

The six Sadhanas can be completed within a period of six months. It is not a rule that one can try the Sadhana of the next Chakra only after the first one has been activated. One can complete all the Sadhanas one after the other without waiting for results. Most of the times the Chakras get activated several days after the completion of Sadhana , sometimes even two or three Chakras at one go.

Preparation for Activation

Remember, one should never attempt such activation himself since such practices if performed without being guided by a Guru create various problems. Once it so happened that a disciple of mine gained some preliminary knowledge of this activation from me and then on returning back to his home, he started trying to activate his Kundalini Shakti. But his Kundalini deviated from the right course as a sequel to which, he started vomiting blood. In a state of terrible fear, he rushed to me and with a great difficulty, through Yogic Sadhana, I stopped the vomiting of the blood. Then he came to know that during his attempt, his Kundalini Shakti left the proper direction which resulted in vomiting of the blood. By this incident it is clear that the Guru keeps on watching the right course of Kundalini Shakti ascending in the body of a disciple and therefore without a Guru, one should never attempt such practices.

Now I am revealing some fundamental practices for activation of Kundalini shakti which every aspirant should put to application-
1.
First of all the aspirant should purify his body with the aid of Neti, Dhyoti and Vasti.
2.
After that, the aspirant should practice eight kinds of Pranayam (Yogic exercises). He may also practice some other Yogic exercises besides Pranayam.
3.
Now the aspirant should learn from his Guru the essential mudras such as Mahamudra, Mahavedha, Mahabandh, Viparitakarani, Taran, Paridhan, Yuktichalan and Shaktichalani.
4.
The aspirant, having perfected all Yogic exercises should concentrate his psyche on 'Chakra' according to the method of 'Raj Yog'.

Daily Routine -

1.
Get up at five in the morning.
2.
Practice both kinds of Bhrastika Pranayam (fast breathing) five to twenty five times.
3.
Practice both kinds of Shaktichalini Mudra five to ten times.
4.
Practice Taran Mudra with four to hundred & one Pranayam.
5.
Practice Praridhan Yukti Chalan Mudra.
6.
At last perform mental exercises of activating 'Chakra'.
The morning time should be devoted to all such exercises. In case you are not able to have ample time in the morning, you should exercise the following practices daily in the evening-
1.
Mahamudra - Five to twenty five times on each leg.
2.
Mahabandha - Five to twenty five times on each leg.
3.
Mahavedh - Both kinds of Mahavedh five to ten times.
4.
Viparitkarani Mudra - Five to ten times.
5.
The rest part of the time should be utilised for practice of activating 'Chakra'.
The aspirant who practices regularly all the above mentioned exercises derives early success. At an initial stage he may experience increased perspiration from his skin but gradually this perspiration will diminish and then he will perceive a lightening sensation in his entire body. After that he is likely to experience the movement of 'Pran Shakti' (life force) in the manner of crawling of an ant. Then he will experience the upliftment of Kundalini Shakti and also the activation of Muladhar Chakra.
When such a stage arrives, the aspirant while remaining in the company of Guru should practice regularly because when the serpent power, crossing 'Muladhar Chakra' ascends upwards, it may change its proper tract as a sequel to which some strange complaints associated with the blood circulation may supervene. But there is no possibility of occurrence of such dangerous situations provided one is acting as per the directive of his Sadguru.

At an advanced stage, when this life current enters the Sushumna, the aspirant may suffer from a gripping sensation around his waist, chest or neck but in a situation like this, he need not worry at all since this temporary bondage gets opened after few days' exercises

Importance of Kundalini:-

The spinal cord in the human body is made up of 33 small bone segments. Saints believe that it
represents the 33 gods [8 Vasus, 11 Rudras, 12 Adityas, Indra, and Prajapati]. Their powers are present in it in seed form. It consists of Ida [Chandra Nadi, negative]; Pingala [Sun Nadi, positive]
and the union of both
gives rise to the third power Sushumna. This Triveni is connected to the central center of the brain, Brahmarandhra, and Sahasrara Lotus. The spinal cord
ends at the pointed end. Vajra is present in Sushumna, Chitrani in Vajra, and Brahma Nadi in Chitrani. Upon reaching the brain, it spreads into thousands of parts. It is
also called Sahasrara Lotus. The metaphor of Vishnuji's bed and Sheshji's being on thousands of hoods is also taken from this. Brahmanadi
gets wrapped around a black colored hundred-cornered atom near the end of the spinal cord. The life force in the body
remains tied to this nadi. Its knotting
place is called 'Kundalini'. It has three simple coils and its mouth is downwards.
It can be called the vault of hidden powers . It has six locks. These are also called
six chakras [Muladhar, Manipur, Anahata, Vishuddha, Ajna, Shuny [Brahmarandhra] . By piercing these, the living being can awaken the Kundalini. By the grace of this Goddess Kundalini, the practitioner attains all the arts and all the siddhis.
