Shiva is the one who moves the entire universe, and what makes Shiva move is his power, Adishakti. Without Adishakti, even Shiva is immovable. It is this power that fulfills Shiva. This Adishakti exists in various forms in all living and non-living things in the universe. This power is present in varying degrees in gods, demons, demigods, humans, plants, water, land, and every substance in the world. We know the powers of the gods by their names, such as Maheshwari for Maheshwar, Vaishnavi for Vishnu, Brahmani for Brahma, Indrani for Indra, and Kumar Kartikeya for Kumari. Similarly, we worship the powers of the gods by their own names.

Kuldevta or goddess is our protective cover which first fights and stops any external obstacle or negative energy from entering the family or the individual. It also keeps us alert from time to time about family values ​​and moral conduct. Whichever deity is worshipped, it does not reach that deity because the bridge stops working. External obstacles, black magic etc., negative energy starts reaching the person without any hindrance. Sometimes, the worship of the deity being offered by the individual or the family starts getting taken over by some other external ethereal power, that is, the worship neither reaches the deity nor does it benefit us. This happens due to the detachment of the Kuldevta or its being less powerful.

The Kuldevi never harms her worshippers.
The obstacles that arise from not worshipping the Kuldevi are not due to the Kuldevi itself, but rather due to the breakdown of our protective circle. Goddesses and gods become empowered when we periodically offer them oblations and regularly worship them. When we stop worshipping them, the Kuldevi's effects are undetected for a few years. However, when the protective circle is removed, accidents, negative energy, and "vayavya" obstacles begin to enter the family without any hindrance. Progress begins to stagnate, generations fail to achieve the desired progress. Fear of sanskars, moral degradation, conflict, unrest, and unrest begin. Individuals try to find the cause, but it's not immediately apparent because they don't have much bearing on a person's planetary positions. Therefore, astrology makes it difficult to detect them. Fate says one thing, and something else happens to the individual. The Kuldevta or Goddess is sensitive to the family rituals of the person concerned and may get upset by any deviation from the worship method, heretical practices or worships. Generally, they are worshipped once or twice a year at a fixed time.

If we chant the name of another deity instead of our family deity, it will only enhance the elements represented by that deity but will not effectively contribute to spiritual progress. Just as people other than our parents do not bestow their blessings upon us like our parents, similarly, other deities do bestow their blessings upon us, but only for the elements they represent. Therefore, it is not as effective as chanting the name of our family deity or the deity associated with our birth dharma. Therefore, worshipping another deity or our Ishta Devta is not wrong. However, we should not neglect our family deity and must regularly worship her with complete devotion and meditate on her at all times. If you do not know who your family deity is, you can perform this ritual: "Worship Method for Those Who Do Not Know the Family Deity."

For such people, we are presenting a worship and meditation. Through this, you can fulfill the lack of your Kuldevi and a protective circle will be formed around your family. Kuldevi/Kuldevta meditation is the best meditation for all problems like troubles in the house, recurring diseases, obstacles in progress, etc. Since most of the Kuldevtas/Kuldevi are related to the Shiva clan, hence, keeping this type of energy in mind, the sadhana method has been adopted in this puja sadhana.



Material :-

4 coconuts filled with water, red clothes, 10 betel nuts, 8 or 16 cosmetics, 10 betel leaves, ghee lamp, kumkum, turmeric, vermillion, mauli, five types of sweets, puri, halwa, kheer, soaked gram, batasha, camphor, sacred thread, panchameva.



Method of Sadhana: -

First, spread a red cloth on a wooden table or stool. Draw an eight-petaled lotus with a mixture of vermillion and turmeric in four places. Now, spread white rice grains on the eight petals on the north side. Then, spread rice colored with yellow, vermillion, and red, respectively, on the south side. Wrap a sacred thread around four coconuts. Place one coconut on the eight petals of white rice on one side. Now, color one of the three coconuts with vermillion, the second with turmeric, and the third with kumkum. Then, tie a sacred thread around the three coconuts. Place these three coconuts on the eight petals to the left of the first coconut, respectively. Place a betel leaf in front of the first uncolored coconut, and three betel leaves in front of the other three coconuts. This will total 10 betel leaves. Now, place a coin on each leaf, then place a betel nut on each coin. Wrap a sacred thread around the betel nut on the leaf in front of the first coconut, keeping the betel nut visible. This will be your family deity. Keep this feeling. The other three coconuts and the nine leaves in front of them are dedicated to your family deity. Wrap the betel nuts in front of these coconuts completely with a sacred thread. Now, place a lamp in front of them.

Now complete Guru Pujan and Ganpati Pujan. Now worship all the coconuts and betel nuts with rice, kumkum, turmeric, vermilion, water, flowers, incense and lamp. Where there is a coconut with vermilion, offer only vermilion and not turmeric and vermilion. Where there is a coconut colored with kumkum, offer only kumkum and not vermilion. Do not offer vermilion on an uncolored coconut, you can offer turmeric and roli, offer sacred thread here, while do not offer sacred thread elsewhere. The worship has to be done in this manner. Nowoffer five types of sweets in front of them. Offer them home-made Puri, Halwa, Kheer. Offer gram, Batasha only in front of the colored coconut i.e. to the Goddess and perform Aarti. After completion of Sadhana, the Prasad has to be distributed in the family only. In Shringar Puja, while feeling the presence of Kuldevi, offer the makeup material in front of three colored coconuts and request the Mother to accept it.

After this, with folded hands, ask for forgiveness for the mistakes committed by your family etc. and pray that O Lord, O Goddess, O my Kuldevta or Kul Devi, whoever you are, we have forgotten you, but we are inviting you again and offering you worship, please accept it. Please protect our clan and family. We have forgotten the place, time, method etc., hence we are offering you worship as per our understanding, please accept it and bless our clan.

This puja should be performed on the three dates of Navaratri, Saptami, Ashtami and Navami. Worship them daily for these three days, while the installation will be done on one day only. Perform aarti daily, distribute prasad at home only, do not give it to outsiders. Generally, traditionally, unmarried girls of the house are not included in the worship of Kuldevta/Kuldevi and they are forbidden to even see the lamp, but in this method, while the puja will continue for three days, girls can participate, or for this it would be better to take advice from their Kulguru or any scholar. The girl should go to her in-laws' house and follow the customs there. If you wish, you can also chant the mantra of Durga or Kali in this puja, but then you must chant the Shiva mantra along with it. However, this is not necessary, because it is not necessary that all the people should be educated and can chant the mantra correctly.

After completion of Sadhana, perform Aarti with family. After this, pray for forgiveness. After that, pray to Kuldevta/Kuldevi that you protect our clan, we will worship you again next year, forgive our and our family's mistakes, we are your children. After completion of three days Sadhana/Puja, first keep the coin and betel nut in front of the uncoloured coconut along with the sacred thread in a box. Out of the nine betel nuts in front of the three coloured coconuts, keep the middle one betel nut and the coin in a separate box, on which write Kuldevi. Next year, these will be kept in place of Kuldevi/Kuldevta. From other things, donate coins and money to a Satvik Brahmin.
