Today, we will learn to use a specific *Beej Mantra* to eliminate various forms of negative energy and understand how to practice it to reap its benefits. Vices, arrogance, anxiety, and mental unrest are considered obstacles to human success;

they hinder progress and create various life problems. For instance, arrogance alienates loved ones and increases the number of enemies; vices weaken both body and mind; anxiety disrupts the digestive system and breeds insecurity; fear weakens the heart and erodes self-confidence; and a restless mind fosters negative thoughts and kills the drive to work.

When the number of enemies rises, the body and mind weaken, insecurity grows, self-confidence vanishes, and negativity takes over, can such a person truly succeed in life? Such individuals are unable to face adverse situations and quickly succumb to despair, often shifting the blame for their own mistakes onto others. The point is... Ego, arrogance, anxiety, greed, and addiction are forms of negative energy that hinder a person's progress. To control these or to dispel them a specific *Beej Mantra* (seed mantra) is used. This mantra helps keep such negative energy at bay. Let us learn how to practice it: wear yellow clothing and sit in any corner. If you cannot sit on the floor, sit on a chair covered with a red cloth. Focus your attention on the *Ajna Chakra* (the point between your eyebrows) and chant the

 *Beej Mantra*:

"Thamm" (ठं)"

Chant it repeatedly.

This *Beej Mantra* acts to restrain the senses—our five senses often flare up rapidly, creating infatuation, restlessness, and unrealistic desires in the mind.

It helps curb these tendencies and enables complete control over the mind. It is considered a beautiful and highly effective mantra. If you struggle with ego, arrogance, anger, flying into a rage over trifles, or dwelling on minor issues, you should definitely chant this mantra. Chant it for 11 *malas* (rosary rounds) daily for 11 days; you may use any rosary. Offer food to someone in need each day. This mantra helps eliminate fear, doubt, greed, and all forms of negative energy from the mind.

You can begin this practice on any Monday and continue for 11 days.

Here are a few rules:

Maintain complete faith. Anyone whether a householder or an ascetic can chant this mantra.

There are no specific directional requirements for this practice. Since chanting it generates significant body heat, practice it in moderation. Respect women. If a husband and wife practice this together, the benefits are multiplied. Be aware that excessive practice might lead to issues like frequent colds or flu-like symptoms, but do not be afraid.

If you are a student or unemployed, or if you are dealing with adversaries, you should chant this mantra while facing the East. If you are involved in business or the arts, you should chant it while facing the West. For those associated with lotteries, betting, the stock market, banking, or the medical field, the mantra should be chanted while facing the North. If you deal in real estate, iron, coal, or leather—or any profession requiring physical labor or handling raw materials

you should chant this mantra while facing the South. Anyone over the age of 18 can chant this mantra. Often, when one resolves to start a noble task, obstacles arise; therefore, combine your resolve with the practice of this mantra.

Regarding the practice itself, the benefits are immense. Abstain from smoking, alcohol consumption, and non-vegetarian food; observe celibacy. Women may pause the practice for three to four days during menstruation and resume it once that period has ended.

Practicing the *Ashvini* or *Vajroli Mudra* can help you observe *Brahmacharya* (celibacy).
