Matangi is the ninth Mahavidya. 'Matang' is the name of Shiva, and Matangi is his Shakti. Goddess Matangi is dark-skinned. She has three eyes, a crescent moon on her forehead, and sits on a jeweled throne. Her sadhana is performed for a happy family life, virtuous efforts, powerful speech, and a virtuous husband or wife. Her sadhana is more prevalent among left-wing practitioners, but even those who are virtuous practice her through the right-wing method.

The goddess is associated with various tantric practices. She is the bestower of magical powers, or Indrajal Vidya, and is adept in speech, music, and other fine arts. She is associated with the Siddha Vidyas and bestows them upon her devotees. With mere words, the goddess is capable of controlling all living beings in the universe, even her fiercest enemies, a process known as hypnotism. She is the main deity of hypnotism

Method of Sadhana

Begin the sadhana on the first day of the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) at 9 p.m.

The sadhana lasts for 11 days, and on the 12th day, you must offer 100 rosaries of the mantra with jasmine oil.

The clothes and seat for this sadhana should be red. The rosary should be made of Rudraksha, and you must chant 100 rosaries daily.

You can rest after 51 rosaries, but then you must continue chanting the remaining mantras.

While chanting, fill a copper bowl with jasmine oil and keep it in front of you. While chanting, look at the oil in the bowl. After a few days, the face of Matangi will appear in the oil.

When Matangi appears in full form, you should understand that your sadhana has been successful.

This completes the sadhana. After the sadhana is complete, you can experiment and see whatever you want at any time.
